Description

Copperas is Ferrous Sulphate Heptahydrate. It is a by-product generated during the production process of titanium dioxide by sulphate route, where the ferrous sulphate is separated from the titanium sulphate solution employing vacuum crystallization. TTPL has a commissioned a Copperas Recovery Plant with a daily capacity of separating 165 MT of Copperas per day. The material will be available in 45 Kg packs and for bulk sales.

Application
Copperas is used as a water treatment chemical. It can also be used for the manufacture of Iron oxide. Ferric sulphate is also used as a chemical fertilizer in agriculture and in medicine as iron supplement. It also finds applications in textile, cement, leather, ink etc.,
